I had to stay still for about half an hour for the above to take shape! She took some more creative liberties, added dog ears, a tail, a pair of ear-rings and even renamed me to Shruti to bring it all together!

I befriended a young co-passenger in the train and after knowing a lot about each other and sharing great stories, she agreed to draw my portrait...

Pitstop
I went for a walk yesterday and felt very thirsty midway..
Swallowed a plate of Pani Poori purely for hydration purposes. I know. Stop frowning..!
It has 'isotonic salts to quench your thirst' and micronutrients (kalanamak, spices), glucose energy, vitamin C in lime and metabolism boosting green chilly, and low-carb edible cups that's eco-friendly too.
Mughlai Maggi
Late one night, some leftover biriyani dived into a warm bowl of soupy Maggi.
Some.might call it blasphemy, I just call it Birdles !
When discrete seeraga samba rice paired with slithering maida noodles and the masalas blended in unforeseen ways..

Over and Out
Catching the last session of the recent India vs England Test match, Sir Jadeja bowled a tight over and the commentator declared "That's a maiden over from Jadeja!'
I was watching with my boys who are not exposed to a lot of cricket, leave alone Test cricket.
5yo: Appa, what's a maiden over?
Me: An over in which no runs are scored.
11yo: Why is it called a maiden over? It's men's cricket?
Me: (having to think for a quick answer)
Erm.. an over in which batsman could not score is...(suddenly on guard).. let's say a ball is a lady and a bat is a gentleman, when they never meet and didn't get married, the bowler has bowled a maiden over..
13yo: The batsman defended a few times in that over. So the ball surely met the bat...?
Me: (At my wits end by now).. Maybe it's just Old English way of saying no runs scored...! Ok please have these potato chips and pass around the packet. (That surely distracted them)

May I humbly suggest that such overs be called bachelor/brahmachari overs in women's cricket, just to make it even and easier to explain to pre/early teens..!?
